Yes, this is a Salsa meetup group, but I truely believe that ones salsa dancing becomes better when styling elements of various dance types are incorporated. This belly dance workshop will help to improve your salsa body movements and musicality. Join us for this fun event!

Learn the sensual and empowering hip and body movements of a belly dancer. This 90 minute class will cover the basics of hip circles and shimmies, arm styling and will be a celebration of the female body!

Class size will be limited, so get in while you fit in!

What to wear/bring:
comfortable dance/yoga clothing, scarf for the hips, and an adventurous spirit! Dancing will be barefoot.

Our instructor:
Theadra Taylor is one of our meetup members who comes to us from Florida. She has been performing since 1994, and teaching since 1999 as well as touring internationally in the Bahamas, Dominican Republic and Tokyo. Her specialties include sword balancing, double sword, veil/double veil, candle balancing dance, cymbals and cane dancing.

Kiran's Bollywood Dance Fusion

We are about to host a fascinating new Bollywood Dance Fusion Class with Kiran Easwarachandran.

Kiran will be teaching Bollywood Dance Fusion Classes for Adults at ABT.

The first class will be on Wednesdays at 6.15 pm, starting on August 25th, 2010.

Dance With Marguerite.

Our wonderful Miss Marguerite teaches Middle Eastern Dance classes at Arizona Ballet Theatre. In addition, she has choreographed for us and appears in our Photo Galleries. Marguerite now also has a website of her very own, Dance With Marguerite.

Tohono Chul Park's Free Event

Tohono Chul Park is a very special place. It's a lovely, interesting, botanical garden for Families and not just for Dancers. 

Bloom Night Is Soon! It's a free event

"Many of our Cereuses have started "moving." They could bloom as early as this coming weekend! As soon as we know they will bloom, the Park will be opened free of charge so everyone can take in the beauty of this unique cactus! More than twenty flowers have already bloomed this year, so we will be checking daily! Currently, Tohono Chul Park has the largest collection of Peniocereus greggii at about 350 specimens."
